Cuban-style Slow Cooker Chicken Fricassee

Ingredients

- 1 large onion, chopped
- 6 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
- 8 small whole peeled potatoes
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup dry wine
- 1/2 tablespoon cumin
- 1 leaf fresh sage
- salt and pepper
- 2 lbs chicken leg quarters
Recipe
- 1 in a medium bowl, combine onion, garlic, bell pepper, and potatoes.
- 2 stir in tomato sauce and wine; season with cumin, sage leaf, and salt and pepper.
- 3 place chicken legs in slow cooker, and pour mixture over chicken.
- 4 cover, and cook on low heat until juices run clear, about 6 to 8 hours.
