Chicken Pilaf

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 2/3 cup rice
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon powder
  • 2 teaspoons orange peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 brown chicken in margarine.
  • 2 salt and pepper the chicken.
  • 3 remove chicken.
  • 4 cook rice and onion in the drippings.
  • 5 stir in remaining ingredients.
  • 6 bring to a boil.
  • 7 place rice mixture in a casserole dish.
  • 8 top with chicken.
  • 9 cover with foil.
  • 10 bake at 375* for 45 to 50 minutes.
