Brined Oven Fried Chicken

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons salt (preferably kosher salt)
  • enough water, to cover chicken
  • 1 cut up chicken
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoning salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Recipe

  • 1 in the morning, combine 2 tablespoons of salt with 1 cup of water in a large bowl and stir to dissolve salt.
  • 2 add chicken to bowl and cover with water.

  • 10 using a spatula, remove chicken pieces from pan onto paper towels to drain.
