Danish Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter (or margarine or chicken fat or a mix of whatever you have)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs

Recipe

  • 1 boil butter, milk, and sugar in a saucepan on medium high heat. sift together flour, salt, and nutmeg. pour boiling mix into dry mix and stir until smooth. add well-beaten eggs (one at a time) and mix thoroughly. drop by spoonful into boiling soup. cover and cook for 14 minutes.
