Easy Chicken Adobo

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb chicken thighs (bone in, skin on) or 1 lb chicken breast (bone in, skin on)
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 cup seasoned rice vinegar (i like to use marukan)
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppercorn
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 garlic clove (crushed and chopped)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar

Recipe

  • 1 wash chicken well.
  • 2 put all ingredients into a medium to large cooking pot.
  • 3 let chicken soak in pot for 30 minutes.
  • 4 turn stove to medium heat, and bring ingredients to a boil.
  • 5 let boil, without stirring, for 30 minutes.
  • 6 turn heat to low, and let simmer for 15 minutes longer, or until chicken is cooked through.
