Chicken Soy Sauce With Onion

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 8 chicken thighs
  • 2 cups chopped onions
  • 1/3 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water

Recipe

  • 1 heat a 12-inch skillet one minute over medium-high heat; add thighs skin down.
  • 2 cook 10-12 minutes.
  • 3 turn and cook 8-10 minutes longer until browned.
  • 4 transfer chicken to a plate.
  • 5 remove all but 1 tbsp drippings from skillet.
  • 6 add onion.
  • 7 reduce heat to medium-low; cook stirring for 12 minutes until onions are tender.
  • 8 return chicken to skillet; pour soy sauce and water over chicken and onions.
  • 9 cover; simmer for 15 minutes.
  • 10 transfer chicken to plate with slotted spoon.
  • 11 cook sauce 1 minute more.
  • 12 pour over top of chicken.
