Ingredients

- 3 tablespoons shortening
- 1 1/2 cups flour, all-purpose
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons chives, snipped
Recipe
- 1 cut the shortening into the flour, baking powder and salt until mixture looks like fine crumbs. stir in milk and chives.
- 2 drop onto hot chicken. cook uncovered 10 minutes, then covered 20 minutes.
- 3 (these cooking times are only for if you're fixing the dumplings for the chicken fricassee).
